Web browser developed by Microsoft. The web browser was first released in 1995 and has since then increased it's market share up until 2003 when it got competition from Firefox.

IE6 is still very popular (especially among corporations) because of how it's using HTML in a non-standard way with other Microsoft products, but it's highly recommended to upgrade to one of the later versions since IE6 is really old by now (released in 2001).
