Dreamkind announced today that it has released Office Riot, an exciting iPhone and iPad game in which the player, the world?s worst boss, must escape from an angry mob of mutinous employees. The game is available in lite and full versions.
Designed for all ages, Office Riot puts players in control of Xavier Potts, the despicable CEO of X-Ploit Industries. After sending one too many abusive memos, Potts? employees revolt. They tear apart the office and it?s mayhem. Players must ride their office chair to safety jumping over holes, copying machines, and furious employees while dodging flying staplers, laptops, and other blunt objects. With each level, the employees get angrier and new and different objects fly faster and faster. New obstacles emerge, and the game gets super challenging.
Office Riot features 10 different environments. The game play starts in the office and progresses through a factory, a farm, outer space, the arctic, and other locations. Each level features a new set of flying objects to dodge and obstacles to jump over. For example, in the medieval castle level, players may have to dodge killer rabbits, swords, lutes, and roasted turkey legs while trying to leap over knights and unicorns. In other levels, players must jump over famous TV stars, zombies, Santa Claus, the Jamaican bobsledding team, and Sarah Palin. (Watch out for an angry Sarah Palin- she can do some real damage!) All of the art is rendered in a hand drawn comics-style that compliments the game?s offbeat sense of humor.
?We see Office Riot as a perfect stress-reliever after a long day at work,? says Jay Schiffman, president of Dreamkind. ?In fact, it?s the perfect stress-reliever for a short day of work, or no work, or better yet, while at work. Anyone who has ever had a boss that is a jerk ? and that means everyone ? should play this game immediately.?
Dreamkind will release three additional games over the next months: Frankenstein Matchmaker, Major League Bugball, and an updated version of Sproutster. In Frankenstein Matchmaker, players shoot arrows ? Cupid?s arrows ? at approaching Frankensteins to make a love connection. In this brainy strategy and word-matching game, the player must shoot straight, but also think smart. In Major League Bugball, the player must hit curveballs, fastballs, and screwballs out of the park while solving challenging math problems. And in Sproutster, which is being updated and re-released this Summer, players catch letters to build words and grow rice plants. Dreamkind donates an amount of real rice, equivalent to the virtual rice grown in the game, to the U.N. World Food Program.
